If the figure is imbued with power, it can meditate fertility, riches, and the blessing of children. Some tribes believe the spirit of the ancestor is present only during Ritual, others conceive the figure as being constantly impregnated by the soul as long as sacrifice and worship continue. If this is neglected, the spirit departs and all that is left is the empty piece of "wood".
